The next stop is Tours, and the Saint Gatien cathedral

Built over the old roman cathedral, the construction started in 1170 and was completed in 1547. The cathedral is 100m long, 28m wide, 46m wide for the transept and inside arches are 30m high. North tower is 68m high and south tower 69m.

Close to the cathedral, there is the episcopal palace, now the museum of Fine Arts, with a French garden and a beautiful cedar of Lebanon.
